Become a MATLAB Student Ambassador

We’re hiring on-campus self-starters to spread awareness of MATLAB and Simulink by organizing fun events and building active online communities.

MATLAB Student Ambassadors are important links between MathWorks and their universities. Located all over the world, ambassadors inform students about the availability of MATLAB and Simulink on campus and showcase the products’ functionality—all while earning money.

How It Works

POSITION

Duties of this paid position include hosting a minimum of two or three events on campus each semester and engaging fellow students with at least two to three social media posts per week. You may also have the opportunity to work on special projects.

SCHEDULE

Customize the experience to work for your schedule. The five-hours-per-week time commitment is flexible and allows you to balance your responsibilities as both a student and a MATLAB Student Ambassador.

We provide the training and resources you need to get started, as well as ongoing support. Technical and non-technical experts at MathWorks are available to answer questions and help coordinate your semester plans and activities.

COLLABORATION

Teach, Learn, and Inspire

MATLAB expertise is not required. Our training program will help you hit the ground running. As a MATLAB Student Ambassador, you can leverage your love for technology while learning new things. Using the power of in-person and virtual events and social media, you’ll connect with professors and students to share this enthusiasm. In addition to strengthening your understanding of MATLAB and Simulink, you’ll boost your credentials and build valuable career skills, such as public speaking, networking, and time management.

Connect with Industry

Millions of engineers and scientists rely on MATLAB and Simulink in a wide range of applications and industries. You’ll become part of the global MATLAB community and gain essential professional experience by working with a leading technical computing software company while still in college.

Our MATLAB Student Ambassadors have numerous reasons for doing the job, and have enjoyed many benefits as a result.

“I believe that MATLAB Student Ambassadors can provide a benefit in terms of curricular and extracurricular innovative teaching activities by supporting students’ work and promoting participation in hackathons and competitions.”
